Durable Flake Epoxy Flooring for Garage and Workshop — Newmarket, Ontario

This Newmarket project involved the installation of a flake epoxy flooring system for a residential garage and adjoining workshop. The homeowner wanted a surface that could handle heavy traffic, automotive use, and temperature changes without sacrificing design appeal. Vérian Design delivered a durable, textured floor featuring multi-color vinyl flakes suspended in industrial-grade resin — resulting in a strong, slip-resistant, and visually dynamic finish.

Challenges:
The main challenge was the fluctuating humidity and existing oil stains on the concrete slab. Our team conducted a deep mechanical cleaning and used a specialized moisture barrier primer before applying the epoxy layers. This ensured long-term adhesion and prevented surface bubbling common in Ontario’s variable climate.
